Nothing really to see in this thread so I figured I'd add some content worth looking at

LOL.. Liked the BLOWER!!!
After rereading this thread there was definitely a bunch of info in regards to the ProCharger looking like it was it was solid. Any updates? Curious what exactly the problem was/is.... And when I might see the next video on the new fuel system. LOL. K that second one has nothing to do with the first but in all seriousness, has this been resolved?

Blower came in here... she's one of the quieter ones I have heard. Bolted it onto our 2016 Camaro, and couldn't hear it over the factory fans. The car ran for 2 hours, never made a sound louder than the fans. Ran blower for an hour on the test stand, with a case temp of over 230+ degrees. No sounds to report, dB ratings lower than normal actually. Opened the unit up, found no issues at all... Bearings looked amazing, gears look basically brand new, Oil looked great, everything was tip top. I actually video documented all of the time put into this... Just in case I ever had the wild hair to post up just how in-depth we looked into this sound matter. Frankly because hardly ever do we have a customer complain of an odd noise, and even less so on "helical" gear blowers. However, I been to swapped to think about posting it up. (let alone posting here at all) So in the end, it was great to see the blower was in good order. Good that she is already boxed up and on her way back. I have already talked to CMS alllllll good ![]() All should be well.

Go Vortech!
![]() As a person who shares the expertise of troubleshooting for a living, at this point it sounds like both sets of troubleshooting have yielded different results / opinions. Is it possible that we can start eliminating items, for instance if CMS can get a hold of a known good head unit from Procharger and see if that produces the same result, if yes, probably not head unit issue, something unique to the car at that point, if it does not produce the same result, then we can again focus on that particular customer's head unit being the cause. anyway, I know both parties are experts in what they do, so I hope the customer is taken care of at the end of the day, cuz that is what ultimately counts.

Well, I'll let you know how it works out - I am only shooting for mild increase, so I'm sure it will do just fine, and was $1500 cheaper than the ProCharger tuner in my area so...

The kits are equal in pricing, it was the labor and tune etc. that the other shop wanted so much more for. The shop I went to is a Vortech certified shop. I suppose I could have purchased a Procharger and had them install it, they will do that, they are a full performance shop, but I went to them for 100% turn-key solution, which for them is Vortech.
Vortech is a major player in Centri Supercharger arena (aka, A&A superchargers, ECS superchargers, Paxton Superchargers - they are all Vortech head units), so i'm not at all concerned about quality. The shop I'm going to is well known for quality work, so not worried about tune or quality of their work either, so yes when I can get the performance I want for $1500 cheaper, it's a no brainer. and perhaps more reliable boost is better for some than perhaps a bit of a chance with unreliable but big HP numbers? No disrespect or knock on Procharger, they clearly work well.

Based on the "odds" I would say we have one dang reliably amazing system. Not only in its stock form, but those that are out there setting records, and the others chasing those records. By Odds I mean.... Say each manufacturer has 1% issue rate with systems. Meaning, 1 out of every 100 has some small issue posted about) I am just using that number as an example. If we sell 1,000 systems, you will hear about 10 postings on this forum... If our competitor sells 100 systems, you will hear about 1 posting... I am using rough math here. But I am humble and honored that just based on the number of amazing customers on this forum alone... I already know we are moving a boat load of these killer systems. And that's cool with me, because I love driving these cars with boost, and I am sure the owners do as well. But I already know, the more you sell, the more chances something will come up. After all its Hot Rodding... however, I firmly believe we have the best of the best in resources to try and make sure everything goes smoothly... and if it doesn't, the staff to resolve it quickly. |

"The shop I went to is a Vortech certified shop" The great thing about the Vortech set up is you won't need any fuel upgrades

I did quite a bit of research and Vortech is quality stuff as well. I know you aren't here to plug your competition. Edit: BTW, not sure if ProCharger kit retains factory brake ducts - Vortech does - at least they claim it does and provided instructions detail the procedure to do so.
