Of course there can be a way to deny the warranty if they can point out its the route of the cause and not dealer installed/GM produced part.
Well take this for what's it worth. Apparently Al O. had some things to say about CAI and the warranty:

Another one try to charge me $480 :/ I was asking to see.. We can install it but if we mess up, it's on us. Took me 30 mins to install and going over everything twice.

Sounds like this is what I will want. Probably have to wait until after taking my wife on vacation and after attending the CamaroFest. Those should wipe out the budget for the summer.

No dyno yet, it's been a crazy week. I'll post up if I knock one out.

According to Lethal Garage he said he seen dyno runs of both tuned and untuned and it produced no HP gains.

Just installed mine. Everything is tightened down, the two dots are aligned and I'm having backfires and an unstable idle. Going to pull the negative terminal next, but I'm very worried about my engine being damaged.

Mechanics 101: You should have disconnected the battery before you touched anything. Need to have it disconnected for atleast 10-15mins. Hope it works out for you.
