Returned from dealer tonight. Dealer reported that this issue is related to bulletin Id PIC6218A. According to dealer, GM said that there is no correction at current time

I found the same. I think this accurately (although not completely) describes the issue, does everyone agree? The dealer also verbally indicated that this was something GM was working on, and thought that there may be a recall in the future. I doubt it would be a safety concern, but maybe a voluntary or actual public TSB?

+1 for me also having the issue. Also couldn't duplicate at the dealer, but it happens usually once or twice a week.

me too, happened after I put the car into "accessory mode" before starting the engine. After turning off engine and restarting, the menu item was back "drive mode".

Chiming in here as I came and searched for this specifically.

2017 2SS 6MT Fifty NPP, with 5,500 miles on it, and same problem.

I religiously switch my NPP from stealth > track every time I leave my neighborhood and from track > stealth every time I return -- it's a very dense yet very quite neighborhood and I don't like causing noise so I am constantly in the menu and switching this option. every. single. day. I can literally do it without looking down at the screen at all, that's how much I use this feature.

That said, it appears missing about every 200 miles or 1 in 30 vehicle trips, and I can't reproduce the actions that cause it.

I can reproduce it nearly 100% of the time using remote start.

It has been fixed for the 2018's. They supposedly are working on getting the fix to the 17's.

They need a fix for all 6th gens including the early adopter models.

Bulletin #17-NA-186 should now address these concerns on the vehicle. Just came out two weeks ago.
