Does GM offer any FI?
I doubt it, but does GM offer any dealer installed superchargers? Like Roush, etc for the Mustang.

Chevy does not offer one itself, but some dealers offer a RPO "like" option of adding a FI. My E-Force was a dealer installed option. This gave me the Edelbrock warranty on the powertrain with the dealer backing it up.
Another dealer locally is offering packages from Kaizen Speed on the showroom floor. Their NA packages are full GM warranty. Their FI package is based on the Novi 1500 SC. If Kaizen Speed keeps to their business plan, I see them becoming the next Callaway here in the Northwest. |

Yeah the RPO deal is kinda what I'm interested in. Guess I should start asking around. Is it just Edelbrock that they offer? Or do some also offer Magnuson as well?

I bought mine at Dave Smith in Kellogg, ID. They are basically a internet sales company that sale both GM and Dodge vehicles. I think they only deal in Edelbrock systems and have tons of experience with them. They have a huge performance shop that does upgrades on the cars they sell.
Why not look at an E-force? The Magnuson and the E-Force are basically twin sisters with the same performance, design and quality. |

I run the Magnuson and I haven't seen any e force at the track. None on the fast list and definitely none in the tens like mine. There are differences between the two superchargers, so twins they are not.

Yes, there are differences, but they are differences without a distinction. Same rotor pack, same cooling pump, relatively same size intercoolers and heat exchangers. Out of the box, they both produce relatively the same rwhp. The Magnuson is a good unit, no doubt. But so is the E-Force. There has been some comment here on this site that the Magnuson intercoolers are a better design, and it may be true (or maybe not), but does it make a big performance difference? The E-Force has a bigger heat exchanger. Does that make big performance difference? And as I have discussed before, IATs measured are not at all comparable due to the location differences of the TMAP sensors. So I see this site developing a group think that there is only 2 choices worth considering, Magnuson or Whipple. There is a third choice, and it performs equally well when compared to other PDs when discussed in equal terms. |
