Yeah the run flats are loud as well lol, but that rhythm noise is the breaks, and once I slightly tap the breaks, all that noise goes right away, and when I let off it comes right back

This is an old thread, but I have the exact same issue on mine. GM will replace the Pad on mine for free once, but they are not sure it will fix it, but if it does not fix it, they won't do anything more. Even if it fix it, this mean the issue will come back again and again and I will have to buff the pad time to time.

It seems to be a design of the slotted rotor causing the issue. This is not acceptable for a 3K upgrade and a car of this price.

I do not recommend 6 piston upgrade from GM at all. This sound is so annoying, you hear it all the time.

I have 6pots also. Work fantastic but do make noise. You can really hear it on bridges with side walls. Pretty confident it's the air passing through the ported rotors.

It's not the air passing. My car has the noise when on a lift, rotating the wheel with my hands. It does the click on each rotation. Both side does the exact same sound. Of course it is worse when driving. The car was not doing that when it was new.

To me this is a design flaw.

That sound like the rotors are out-of-balance. Or one of the 6 pistons is not properly retracting and still pressing the pads towards the rotor.

I agree! Even when on a lift you spin the tire it still
Makes noise. But over a year the noise has gotten quieter. But like said on bridges or around walls you can still hear it. It's just crazy that only few have the same problem and some say there breaks don't make any noise

I think they all have this issue to some extent. Brakes have to wear off a little for the issue to appear. The 2016 is quite new too, there are also not that many Camaro SS with upgraded brake kit. Most people have standard brembo and some people will never realize the car have this issue and will not hear this. I got the noise around 12,500 miles.

I talked with a mechanic at the performance shop and he told me he did see that issue with many aftermarket ventilated disk. He told me the problem is the OEM ventilated pattern and changing for a different disk with a different pattern, would fix this issue permanently, or I could buff the edge of the pad a little bit occasionally. Anyway I am going to change for a different disk when they will need to be replaced. That's for sure.

My friend has a 2017 Grand Sport corvette, I am curious to see what front brake he have, if they are the same as mine and if he will have the issue. But he is he barely drive his car, so it may take years before it happens, if he do not sell the car before lol

6 Piston Brembos

I have the same noise, almost sounds like cicata bugs. There is a tsb PI1498C for clicking noise from front and rear wheels for brake dust build up between rim mounting face and brake rotor face. I haven't had a chance to clean the area they are talking about so can't say if it fixes it or not. But I do find it annoying also.

6p brake noise

I have had that noise since I got my car. I'm at 4800 miles and my stealership said it's normal. Said the clearance on the 6 piston is spaced very close for hard track braking that is responsive. They removed my front wheels and inspected. Wear is even no pulling to one side or the other but there is a slight little noise that I hear with the windows down it goes away when I apply the brakes. Seems like the pad has a slight little sliver that brushes the rotor if I had to guess. When braking it goes away.
