Start from the rear, remove the two 2-piece clips in the fender well and pull back the fender liner. Then you will want to remove all of the horizontal clips first starting with the top one closest to the rear fender, if you pull the liner back you can see it much easier. Once you have all of the horizontal clips out you can pull the rocker panel away from the car to separate it from the vertical clips (sounds wierd but it will make sense once you have it in front of you). The first and last horizontal clips are by far the hardest, the rest aren't bad, if you are scared you might scratch your car I recommend masking off the area with painters tape before you start jamming tools between the panels.

The new rockers come with all the clips, use them as reference to know where the clips you need to pull out first are. Also for the method I did you MUST remove the two clips closest to the front so you call pull the rocker in to clost the gap!

I ordered a pair of OEM side rockers on Tuesday for my 2SS vert and I'm looking forward to the upgrade. The rockers will start off white to match the car, and I'll probably get them wrapped to add color.

Bump... My set of OEM Rockers arrived in great shape, coming in at $540 w/ tax. They were dropped off for paint yesterday, matching the ZL1 paint scheme for $660 w/tax installed.

I'm interested to see how this $1140 upgrade turns out against the aftermarket ZL1 lookalikes.

The instructions here are priceless. Thanks for the info! I'll post pics of the install.

The rockers should have been painted today, making them ready for install over the weekend. Thanks to a proven zip-tie work-around, I have a primary path for installation. However, I'm up for the challenge of finding an easy solution to flare the fender. The question is.. Will it bend?

I’ve been at the body shop for about 4 hours to install the painted rockers. The Camaro Convertible has a unique part number. Basically coupe part number + 1. Gm is also shipping the parts with the wrong body clips.

I dropped my car off at the body shop yesterday to be painted. Sense I have the inner wheel wells removed already, I am going to try and move the fender out to the rocker instead of the other way around. If not, I'll try the zip tie method.
