This car bug gets to be very expensive. Thank goodness my wife is very tolerant.

One tip, and I am sure a lot of people on here know, when you start modding, at first make it a sleeper. Make mods no one can see. Don't be too flashy; that can always come later. If it doesn't make it faster, then it is just some stickon, so don't waste you money. You want someone at the stop light on the side of you to ask out the window, "what the hell you got under there?". Then just smile and drive...

I still take medicine for it every day. So far, it has not worked very well. I need a new doctor.... or do I?

Haha my main issue is finding things to mod that don't sacrifice too much the longevity of the engine while enhancing performance. I would definitely love to achieve 500rhp... but then I should have probably saved more for a Zl1 and have warranty protection.

My original thinking was: this is my first car with anything close to 455 hp. I'm ste that's more than enough.

Now I'm addicted and want to see what more feels like. My favorite part of the day is sitting in the drivers seat and pressing that oh so sweet ignition and hearing the V8 roar to life

Welcome! And don't feel bad. I am facing similar challenges from a slightly different perspective.

I was raised on cars and horsepower, and kind of lived and breathed it until my early twenties, when other passions and realities in life kind of pushed cars aside. Time passed, life changed, and computers brought horsepower back. And here I am. Trying to RE-learn the rules. The concepts I once understood are largely still valid, but the applications and hardware have changed dramatically.

So some of us are right there with you. As others have mentioned, it's all good. There are a lot of helpful folks on this board willing to share a lot of knowledge.

Well, the easy stuff is intake and exhaust and tune. It is all under the covers and sometimes it will not void your warranty if using Chevy Performance parts.

For fun, you can look here for ideas.

This has nothing to do with this post or does it

That gray Camaro looks super sweet and I love that tail, is that the tail that everyone says it too much, to me it looks really good on this vehicle. Is it wrong to add that to a RS 2.0 Turbo, was that only meant for SS?

Trust me, it is the most expensive hobby I've ever had (welcome to being broke half the time). It's to the point with me where I buy car parts and have them sent to my job or a friends house so she doesn't find out. I'll install it and she wouldn't know the difference because I always put her in the Jeep when we go out. Lol now that's sad smh. Glad we don't have joint accounts...
