Would love to see the launch to get that 1.7. Went to the track here and it was so poorly prepped that I couldn't launch without spinning like crazy. Also gets so busy that 3 runs were only possible over the 4 hours I was there.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The way some think, it's a wonder they don't claim you're not stock if you remove the dealer tag that comes on the car. If someone thinks using a fan or bag of ice makes your car modded, they need to get checked out.

Track prep is key. I can get way better launches on the street than an unprepared track. I took my car to grudge wars on Saturday night and was like you. Only got 3 runs in during almost 3 hours of running and lining right back up. My 60' was between 2.0 and 2.25 on those 3 runs, slowing down each pass I made.

I go back to the same track the next day during a Ky True Street rental and pull off two 1.8 60's (1.89 and 1.84) in way worse DA all because of track prep. I also gained .5 sec through the quarter. That was running in the right lane which had several passes on it before I ran. I would liked to have tried the left lane that had been freshly prepped with only 3 or 4 passes made, but I was just getting slipped in at the end of the day since I was on stock rubber and the host didn't want any street tires messing up the prep work. They even added me to their top 10 list. I managed the 8th fastest time even though I was the only one on street tires.

Check out the videos in my sig. Track prep is very important but learning how to drive your car is just as critical.

Thanks man. Yeah, the conditions around here aren't too bad for this time of the year, but I can't wait for the negative conditions we get towards the end of the year. By then, I should have this car all figured out and hopefully I'll start running some impressive times.

I also wonder if DA and temps had something to do with it. I was only able to manage 122mph.

Nice to see some real world numbers. Would love to see a similar thread with manual times.
