Accurate weight scale of the ZL1 A10

I have some digital race weight scales that are pretty accurate so I figured I would get an actual weight of the ZL1 instead of looking around online at specs, etc. Now my ZL1 has the 10 speed auto with the sunroof, other than that it's totally stock with no other options. I had just a tick over an 1/8th of a tank of fuel.

A bit heavier than I would like but overall it doesn't feel like it's pushing around that much weight which is pretty amazing in itself.

And for comparison my C7 Z06 with the A8, stage 1 aero, PDR, and standard iron brakes. Totally stock, same fuel level at just a tick over an 1/8th of a tank.

That looks about right. Someone else recently weighed one and it was a tick over 3900 (probably had more fuel).

I was worried about the weight, coming from an M3 which was nearly 400 lbs. less. The chassis is so good though, it doesn't really feel like it's nearly 2 tons.

Thanks for posting these. That is great information, and its useful to see a direct comparison to the C7 Z06.

Awesome I have the same options but also the PDR. I don't understand the weights listed on the door jam.

Weighed my A10, no sunroof, 1/2 tank of gas last month when I was at the track and it weighed 3905 without driver. Probably get it under 3900 if I would have taken all my shooting gear out of the trunk including the heavy rubber trunk mat. Front was 2120lbs and rear was 1785lbs over the axles.

You should take those 3 cases of beer out of the trunk too.

The weight on the door is gross weight. Its basically the limit of the car itself, the total weight of driver plus 3 passengers in this case and cargo.

How much extra does the sunroof way? Would it be safe to say non-roof A10 cars are much closer to 3800?

Where is the difference, maybe the rear suspension is heavier, brakes maybe. I my 1ss is down to 3640 with a 2300 magnuson and slicks and skinnies with full interior and 1/4 tank and just ran 10.78@129 in 92 degree heat and 3650 DA. That means that with the drag pack its about 3783 which is way lighter then the 15 Zl1

Dang! No wonder it was so high, thanks.

Looking around online it looks like most people who have taken out sunroofs on other vehicles similar in size have weighed them anywhere between 20-30 lbs.
