Yes, I have read that. The BMW dealer told me that I should not wait so long for oil changes for that reason. But they didn't tell me that how much it was burning. So I assumed it was extra, but I never dreamed a car would burn that much in the GT350 when I read so many people did not have that problem. The Ford dealer where I bought said that they had already replaced an engine for consumption reasons. I said, "oh crap, great"

The GT350 TP is ~equivalent to a gen6 SS-1LE that costs $10k less. The GT350R bested the gen5 Z/28 but fell short in every measure against a base ZL1 that isn't a dedicated track car (and whose lap was 1.7 seconds slower this time... for some reason).

Hard to see value in paying ADM on a GT350 given its premium price relative to its actual ability. Track, strip or street. Illustrates that there are guys willing to pay a premium to own a car that looks like a car that can actually perform...the R. Ford and Mustang buyers seem to have a long history of that type of relationship. Special

No doubt and I'm sure its fun as hell to beat the piss out of one. How will they hold up to that? How does the poor low end power band feel on the street?
The GT350R holds its own against a car with 124 more horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque isn’t living up to the hype? Or earning number 2 on the last best drivers car? Or besting the ZL1 in motortrends head to head and most other comparisons? Or being consistently raped by admin because the demand is still so high? The GT350 out breaked and cornered the mighty ZL1 on the track. The biggest advantage the ZL1 has is that HUGE horsepower and torque it carries.

And….once again, you seem to be inferring that motortrend tanked the ZL1 lap times. Give it a rest already, this isn’t the first time cars have lapped seconds slower on different days due to different weather and track conditions.

As for the poor low end comments, you would think everyone in here would understand the ability to downshift.

You're swimming against the current, with a brick tied to your ankles...

I think you need to reconsider what site you're on..........

After your many posts that serve no purpose and the posts are such repeats of the same posts over and over again, I am of the firm belief that you must belong to the Ron family. And then your real first name is Mo.

Lol. You realize the GT350R lost in every measurable performance metric, right? The GT350R a dedicated track car, with a design specific engine and carbon-fiber wheels that remove 16 lbs at each corner. In the 5th gen, the lighter, NA cars dominated at the track beating the heavier, high HP variants. It should have won here but the S550 doesn't appear to be on par with Alpha. Living up to the hype.

1.7 seconds slower...this time The ZL1 didn't have a vibrating seat and steering wheel to "pleasure" the driver. Factor?

Do you understand that downshifting is to keep it in the high rpm range? Because it has a poor low end.

Mustang Fanboys in general can't spell. So, don't fault him for that. I am sure, just like Jethro in the Beverly Hillbilly's, he got "clean thru the 6th grade in only 12 years"

In all seriousness, I do get the GT350. If you drive it like you stole it, I'm sure its tons of fun.

This H2H lost all credibility when Cammisa, with his little girl titties, started with an insulting stereotype toward the ZL1. As he did the Z/28. Disqualified...regardless of their assigning a subjective winner, loser. Loser, winner? What is it?

Nothing against Lieberman

It's pretty sweet how his attempt to mock Camaro drivers backfired in such spectacular fashion.

Nothing unique about that engine. And there are lots of engines that rev high. Again, nothing to see here. Outstanding handling? Um, it lost to the ZL1 and the 1SS tied it. How it makes you feel? Subjective and yea it should make people feel stupid for paying over $80K for a $65K car with no creature comforts that got it's ass kicked. Phenomenal exhaust note? Again, subjective. And I wonder how much that car will drone at highway speeds when an exhaust is put on it. My 15 GT droned soo bad that at a certain speed all you could hear was this loud humming sound that overpowered everything. You couldn't even have a conversation in it.

Held it's own? It lost by a pretty significant amount. How is that holding it's own. And it sacrifices darn near every creature comfort while the ZL1 is fuly equipped with features no Mustang even has. WTF are you talking about?

You wouldn't praise a honda with a bazooka tube for a muffler do you...and they are loud.

As for the handling, the reason the GT350R was able to keep it close to the Zl1 (which has a shitload more horsepower and torque) was because of it's handling prowess. I'd like to know which car in it's class handles better than the GT350R?

A snipit from Motortrend in case you missed it...

"The thing is, when you get these two studs on a winding canyon road, the Shelby is the car you want to be driving. That steering simply comes alive. The GT350R sports one of the best-feeling front ends I’ve had the privilege of experiencing. It’s simply excellent. This Shelby’s shifter shifts better, the engine feels better (who wouldn’t take an 8,250-rpm redline over a 6,500-rpm limit?), the brake pedal feels better, and the car is simply sportier in every way. The R’s just more fun to drive. Again, I’m not sure how Ford Performance did it, but I think there’s a layer of pixie dust baked into the GT350R. I might call it a thing divine."

The Camaro and GM has had it's share of limp mode, oil cooler leaks, excessive oil consumption and motor failures. Let's not pretend however that this is the norm for either company.

I'd like to see a number on exactly how many "automotive enthusiasts" have had to have their engines replaced on the GT350. I'm not familiar with this statistic.
They are PERFORMANCE CARS. The ZL1 won the performance catagories. End of this comparison.
