Heads up display auxillary gauge
I just tried a cheap bluetooth OBD2 reader and the torque app. One of the settings is HUD mode where it reverses everyting on the screen. I set the phone on my dash and had a HUD boost / IAT ( or whatever you want ) gauge that would be perfect for me. Except... when I pulled out of the garage the sunlight washed it out. Does anybody know if something like this already exists with a very bright screen or some other method to reflect like the factory HUD?

there are lots of solutions like that. The problem is mounting your device and the reflective screen so it doesn't look ugly as hell.

GM just needs an API and developer program to enable their native HUD to work with other apps...
Come to think of it, this could be a great opportunity for 3rd Party PLX, i.e.: http://www.plxdevices.com/ProductDet...e=897346002931
