Squeaking

I have a 2017 1lt RS Camaro and it squeaks on every cold start. So when the car sits for a couple hours and I start it, it squeaks for like 20-30 seconds. Took it to one dealer they said bad belt and changed it... Didn't do anything. Took to another dealer yesterday and they said it's normal. The air pump kicks on to push extra air through and that's what the noise is and it's not a squeaking noise... Sorry but it is a squeaking noise and that doesn't make sense to me. Has anyone else had this issue or have any insight? I called GM and they are going to look into it. Sorry but new cars don't squeak. It sounds terrible on start ups and makes the car seem old and broken lol

I get the same thing, only on cold starts after sitting all night. It's a squeaking, chirping type of noise. It stops as soon as the engine starts to idle down after the cold start. Going in Monday to see what the dealer says.

Your the first person other than me that I know of lol. I've asked tons of Camaro owners. Let's hope you don't get crap dealers like me. The first dealer scratched my car and wouldn't fix it also. So watch out for that

Count me in, I never noticed it until about 7 months after owning. It's like a "ringing" sound until the car idles down. Other forum members have told me it's a characteristic of direct injection engine.

It's likely the high pressure fuel pump if you have the V6. I have it on mine, and the Cadillac XT5, which also has the LGX V6, makes the same exact noise.
