How many Gs?

Aside from track courses, what kinda Gs are you pulling? Last night I took a cloverleaf on-ramp at 74 mph, 0.73g according to my HUD.

For those of you in southeast Michigan, it was the Sheldon Road on-ramp to M14 East.

I live in GA and went up to Dahlonega. I hit blood mountain and pulled over 1 G. It was nice and hot and the tires were good and sticky. The motorcycles were having a hard time losing me because this car handles so well.

Dallace, MGD, marknagy13, NCDS,

Thanks guys for making me feel like a piker.

It did feel like there was more in there, so I will need to find places to wring her out a bit more. I've taken Corvettes around that same on-ramp, but without a G-meter. This one felt easier and more natural, so I knew there was more room in there.

Just be careful doing this on public roads, especially if you are not experienced with driving a car at its limits. If you really want to test this in a safe manner sign up for a local autocross event and have at it.

Oh, I definitely agree. I've had my share of fun driving cars near the limits on several GM Milford Proving Grounds tracks, but never my own cars. And now that I have retired, I don't have driving privileges there anymore. I have experienced what it feels like to have a car suddenly and unexpectedly break loose. But thankfully that was on Black Lake ( a huge asphalt lake at MPG) and there was nothing to slam into or off of.

There are a couple places in the Detroit / SE Michigan area where at the right time, with the right conditions, I can unleash the puppy.

I love Blood Mountain. Used to ride my motorcycle up there all the time when I lived in Canton. One of my personal favorites was Burnt Mountain to 136 then out towards Amicalola. That was a decade or more ago, so I'm sure it's covered with homes now. I'd love to be able to take this car out there.

LOL its funny that you mention Blacklake I was just there this past weekend to help out at the novice school that our CCR-SCCA club held there on Saturday and then Autocross on Sunday. (there may or may not have been some shenanigans after the novice school was over) We typically have 2-3 events there a season and we had a few Camaro 6 guys there as well.

Here are my runs from Sunday if you are interested. The first run was still wet and my gopro died on the final run so thats why its separate, I had to pull it from my dashcam and there is no sound.

Most I've managed was .84 on a clover leaf ramp near my house. That was only cold tires and I wasn't even pushing the car hard, could have easily done it like 10mph faster and probably over 1G!

Pulled .87 the other day (jumping on M23 for you fellow Michiganders) Of course it was a spontaneous pull as the car gods opened up the ramp for me during rush hour traffic and my PDR wasn't on :|

I pulled a 1.05 on the entrance to my subdivision the other week. It's about a 30-35mph turn in. At freeway speeds, that highest reading I have dared so far is about .85G on 270 degree interchange.

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.
