Try and make it out. That blue was actually my first choice, but I didn't want to wait and got a nice deal on what they had in stock so NGM it was. Still would look cool all parked together!

Sweet! I'm stock as well...haven't even put tint on yet. LOL

Just passed 1500 mile break-in, so looking to get oil and dif fluid changed out at first opportunity. From what I've read it's highly advisable.

NitroCamaro - maybe
evit_tt - can't this week
WILWAXU - maybe
1968ss350 - yes, with a friend

So at least three of us, and maybe up to five? Never know, maybe a lurker or two thrown in as well?

UGH! I JUST now saw this on the "Member's Only - C&C Aliso Viejo" page, so full disclosure I'm posting it here. There WILL be cars at the meet THIS Saturday, it's just that the city council has decided that they will at some point take steps to close down this meet:

"Please read the entire post:
Well C&C AV fans, this is the message I was hoping to NOT have to deliver but, this seems to be final. The following email is from a highly influential person, involved with C&C from day 1 and was at the city meeting.
----------------------
"Scott,
I wanted to let you know that the car meet will be closed. The Town Center Association is unable to conclude that their risk is offset by potential benefits when they evaluated the problems with noise and potential accidents from erratic drivers, coupled with liability. They received my input, as well as the city manager and police chief at a board meeting yesterday. While they wish they could find a way to keep the car meet, the problems were too daunting. I indicated that we could address all of those problems with proper organizing, liability insurance and event management, but I could not say those problems would be eliminated. This, combined with the city’s requirement for a special event permit and at least one patrol officer, sealed the event’s fate. Thank you for your support. I’m trying to gather our group to look at potential alternative sites. Call me if you have any questions. Otherwise, I’ll keep you posted for the first Plan B meeting.
They are working on how they close the event. I don’t know when they will act.
B."
----------------------------
Later in the day, he sent me a cryptic message about a possible alternative meeting location becoming available.
I will keep everyone posted. In the meantime, it's time to re-activate the main C&C AV community page and open up the discussion there, too. Please watch both pages for updates but, keep the more edgy commentary reserved for this page."

If you're on the fence at all about showing up, SHOW UP! Let's fill that parking lot with auto enthusiasts and show the management all of the business they'll be losing out on! Maybe one of the final meets in the city of Aliso Viejo...

Damn, that's at least the 3rd location that I'm aware of.

From what I've heard there MAY be some reps from the shopping center management handing out notices that in the future they will be discontinuing the meet, but they aren't planning on immediately shutting anything down. Just politely state that we're patrons of Bagels & Brew, Panera, Bruegger's Bagels, etc.

Right. This meet used to be held at Crystal Cove Shopping Center, then the Ford complex in Irvine, and then Mazda Offices in irvine. All closed down due to the crowd sizes/noise complaints.

And now the Aliso meet. Thing is I've been to many of these in Aliso, and not once did I ever see anyone acting the fool. Everyone seems to understand the importance of keeping things mellow so that we could continue to enjoy each other's company, and more importantly, enjoy the cars.
