A10 Rev Matching Issues
I was wondering if anyone else has any issues with the rev matching in the A10? I have around 800 miles on my car and when using the paddle shifters to downshift into third 8/10 times it doesn't rev match.
I have not noticed this happening on any other gears except third. I think I have it narrowed down to only missing the rev match when you are off the throttle. It seems to do the rev match if you have the throttle cracked even slightly. If anyone else with an A10 can comment and let me know if you have the same issues I'd appreciate it.

Does the A10 have rev match? I was under the impression that rev match was for the M6 to eliminate the need for heel-toe shifting? I may be wrong, but the rev match option is listed under the M6 on the Chevy ZL1 page?

Rev matching is on the M6. Do you mean that you're not jumping up in rpm when you downshift?

Rev matching is anytime the rpms match the rpms of the gear you are selecting. But yes I'm not seeing the rpms jump up when I downshift into third. Instead the car lurches just like a manual would if you downshifted and didn't rev match.

but if your foot is on the gas it sounds like it is blipping throttle for you during downshift to keep rear wheels from slipping (good if you were on a track... you wouldn't want rear tires being affected by your downshifts...) but i don't have auto so i'm just guessin |

Probably because you're off throttle. My a10 rev matches.

It should blip the throttle in every gear going down. Just curious if any other A10 owners have this problem.

The little bit I've played with the paddles mine has always rev matched. Are you in track mode?

I've tried in all modes and all gears. It only does it on third but it does it in any mode.

I guess I need someone to explain this in regards to the A10 with an example of sorts...I thought it was an m6 feature only.
Man, I feel ignorant here sometimes trying to catch up on this car. |

In the auto using the paddles to downshift the car should rev match or blip the throttle to provide smooth downshifts. In my case, it does not rev match in while shifting into third gear. The phrase "rev match" was not created by GM. It is just a phrase GM used to call it's automatic bliping on the manual cars.

It's a bit of an odd concept to imagine on an auto, since at the gear changes it engages as the same time. How could it go in to a lower gear without matching the engine speed of that gear automatically?

When it does it it jerks the car pretty violently. Just like a manual car if you didn't match the revs and shifted into a lower gear.
