the pin striping makes the car so hard on the eyes it's hard for me to say if I like it or not.

is it possible to just undo the lower fender bolts and add a 1/2 spacer to the front? Anyone try this?

I feel like this is exactly what Gen5DIY has in mind for their "kit" for this. I finally installed the drivers side one yesterday and going to do the passenger side today weather permitting. I will look and see if it's possible to do without pulling the entire fender off. I just went with the zip tie method and while it didn't close the gap 100% it's not noticeable at all, it's almost flush maybe about 1/16-1/8" off, I could probably get it flush if I tugged on it a bit harder.

They look amazing painted satin black to match the other 1LE bits!!!

This is what I am thinking. I have to put on a new fender and bumper on the front after a wreck. Ive been looking at the ACS stuff and it seems rather high. When I came across this, it seems like a much better solution. I don't like having ridged parts that close to the road just in case something flys up and hits the car. I may decide to buy these rockers and have them painted with the rest of the car. I will have to adjust my fender anyway, it may a reasonable option sense I'll already be in there. We shall see.

that gap is not too bad. This is a better method than the aftermarket installs that require you to drill and add rivets to the car.

The black does not look too bad unpainted
