Who else is waiting and waiting and waiting on Borla NPP?
It's been 4+ weeks now. No end in sight. Supposedly redoing their design around the valves.

I've been wanting to order, but I've been following some of your posts MAGUSA and been holding on to my money until they replenish stock..

That's concerning. I've been waiting since early April. Have you been communicating with Borla or the vendor?

I ordered in the beginning of the month from Maryland Speed (S-type with mid pipe 2nd cat delete) and they told me two weeks. I hadn't heard anything from them so I was going to call them Monday and see what the status was. I just looked at my order online and it's listed as pending. If there are not any true timelines I'm probably going to cancel Borla and go with the Stainless Works and their mid pipe. Thanks for the info about this.

I'd consider stainless works if there was anything out about how the car sounds with valves closed but they don't seem to care to market to that crowd. Why even bother building a valved exhaust if not highlighting them closed as much as open?
There are no good exhaust options for this car. Borla seems the only option if you don't want to have an obnoxious car 100% of the time. Starting to think I should cancel the Borla and spend the money elsewhere. What a sh!tshow. |

The OEM valves rattle over time and Borla was having the same issue. They have a redesigned valve they are about done testing and should ship in the next week or two. This has help up shipment on pretty much all Borla valves systems for a little bit. ATS-V, Hemi, Corvette, and Camaro.

I've been emailing and speaking with Chris at borla for the last 2 months. Unfortunately last we spoke he could not give me an eta and that was a week ago. My install starts Monday on my build so couldn't wait any longer. Chris is a stand up guy always got back to me and answered all my exhaust questions. I'd definitely go borla again and again just on the support I got

This just confirms my impression of Borla exhausts over the years. Valved exhausts are nothing new and nothing exotic. I've had several from Miltek and AWE and they were fantastic. Borla tries to act like they are some state of the art company but can't even produce an exhaust for today's modern cars. The price they command is ridiculous for two mufflers. Mufflers that don't even function apparently for what they are marketed for. For the price they ask for their valved exhaust (assuming it works) should include their mid pipe. This is not rocket science. Many companies have valved exhausts.
So many cars have valved exhausts without problems. Why is this such an issue for the Camaro and Borla? Answer: it's a quality issue. Yet they want the money as if they provide the quality product. Exhausts are more than street hype and mandrel bent pipes. Time to live up to the reputation you command with your prices. |

I will be trading my Camaro in soon for a family car that will fit 3 car seats. Running a Borla S-type Catback no valves no afm, but did replace my NPP. If someone lives close to North Fl and wants to buy my system and give me a stock NPP setup id be down. Just need to meet at a muffler shop and get it done. Negotiable on price. PM me.

A well shaped layer of JB Weld on an uninstalled valve would work the best in my opinion. Otherwise, I think the stock NPP system is a great axle-back and has decent sound. It could just use some attenuation at the mid-pipe. |
