If you're willing to look just outside your area I bet you'll find something. I had to do the same thing when I wanted a 2012 and was #3 on the list at my dealer who only got 2 allocations. I found one 200 miles away and ended up getting my car before the guy who was #2 on the list.

People with orders back out of these all the time for various reasons (mostly finance). Try this link to AutoTrader. You might get lucky

Appreciate the link, I have looked and can only 'see' 7 silver A10s, called on about three of them and either got an newbie salesman on the other end that didn't know the difference between the models (one was literally not aware what a ZL1 was...)or the car was already sold, or pending sale.

Good news is that I'm going to get 'My' car in late August with the pricing I wanted. In the end, it's going to be what it is. And hopefully they iron out some of the nit-noid problems that some folks are experiencing (HUD not auto dimming, etc.). Having that "Fifty" emblem on the steering wheel doesn't mean that much to me.

I could careless where you bought the car from. It's still a GM product and my techs could careless where it came from too. But I do know of some dealerships that will not work on a car they didn't sell. For the life of me, I don't know why they would do that. Money is money to me.

To answer your question, it's a two day drive.
More importantly though, I ordered an '18 this past Friday from a dealer close to me, getting the pricing I wanted as well, which, for me, is more important than having a '17.

No problem. Please make sure you get an order number.and stay on top of the dealer. The ZL1 is awesome.

Remember that an order # is generated by a dealer, it doesn't mean GM is going to build you a car. You need to ask the dealer for a GM workbench report that has a status code that is 2000 or greater. That means GM HAS ACCEPTED the order, and building YOU a car. Also if the dealer has put your name into the customer section of the workbench, it means you'll be price protected, if there's a price increase between now and your delivery.

The dealer I used as far as I know did not have one 2017 ZL1 on the lot all year nor did they order one other than mine. Probably had 0 allocations.
