Hello from Virginia!
Hi, I've decided to join in the fun after lurking around the forum for almost a year now. My previous car was a used 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe bought with 110K miles on it back in 2008, definitely sentimental to me since it was my first car and I paid for it all by myself. At the end of May 2016 my wife told me that she wanted to buy me a new car because of two reasons:
*A more reliable car because I haven't had a working heating or AC in the car for over 4 years and I had already spent a total of over 3000 dollars in other repairs over the years (It is definitely a franken-car, there are parts from other cars cobbled together... surprised it didn't just fall apart like legos). *Graduation present! I recently graduated and going back to school again (nerd) and she wants me to have my dream car to drive around. Enter a used 2015 Camaro 2LS in Blue Velvet Metallic with only 5500 miles on it! It fit in our budget and her requirement (low mileage and it must be an auto so she can drive it as well). She gets the car two days a week now, but it's definitely worth it to finally have a Camaro to call my own! I've already done minor modifications to it and will post it in the appropriate subforum, my short term goal is to break 300hp to the wheel and long term is 350hp. The pictures are from fall of last year after a complete detail and winter prep, thank god for a deserted self-service car wash since I spent about 1 hour in the bay prepping the paint for sealant and wax. |

Thank you! Unfortunately, I have been pretty unlucky since we bought the car... both door panels got dinged by idiots not paying attention in the parking lot and my passenger side mirror took a hit from a shopping cart. All three have paint transfer and one with a dent
 . I'll be posting everything in the car project section. Since we live in an apartment, running power tools to do paint correction is impossible (third floor). I pains my soul everytime I look at it...

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
 oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Congrats!!
Stick with the education it will pay off. I have an MS in engineering and business certificate too. Just retired at 59 after 36 years in Aerospace! I started a carpentry business part time but otherwise I travel, play golf and play with my Transformer Camaro. Best of luck to you!
