I hate you guys!!! I saw stationed in Monterey for a year and went to the track several times but never had a car worthy of driving on it, now that I'm back on the east coast I have my 1LE but will probably never make back out to Laguna for a track day :(

NCRC is the 9th. Speed SF is 8th. He's got it.

BTW - I'm staying trackside at the campground if anyone else is doing the same. I think they'll put me at Chaparral. I think it would be great to see you guys out there. Sean is driving in same class so we can do some lead/follows. Good times fellas.

That blows. Come out anyway. I want to go back east someday and hit Texas on the way. What a great way to see the Country and tracks.

Sounds like we should have a good Camaro turn out on the 9th!

JRL1LE, have you been to Laguna before? Your Thill West times were great, curious how we will compare at Laguna. Looking forward to it.

Just a couple of laps from my first session out with the 1LE at Sonoma Raceway, just happened to be chasing a Viper ACR. Car is showroom stock except for a brake fluid swap to SRF and a more aggressive alignment. This car blows me away every time, incredible. Stock brake pads even handled everything I threw at them, hardly any fade at all. The only issue was some slight mid to late corner push that increased as the sessions went on, tires got a bit greasy. Excited to try a 305 square set up in the coming weeks. Pretty happy with 1:49's in a showroom car, it can easily do 1:48's.

GREAT LAPS!!!!

Did you feel any difference with the SRF besides the Fade resistance. Did the pedal feel also manage to improve? Got a bottle of SRF on my doorstep now waiting for me to come home from work.

I'm curious about your results with the Castrol as well. My change to RBF600 was the single cheapest, most significant improvement I made...although I have to flush the calipers every event. Wondering if the Castrol will hang tougher since my temps are climbing through the roof with the track pads.

It's hard for me to say as I swapped to SRF almost immediately before any hard driving. I don't think the pedal feel really made much of a difference, except that it is now more consistent.

I figured that was probably the case. Did you do the swap yourself?

I did. I use a vacuum bleeder to do the flush, and then "fine tune" bleed using the traditional two-person method.

Thanks Sean, your Sonoma laps were awesome From those lap times, It will be a challenge to keep up with you.
I haven't run the 6gen 1LE at Laguna, but I ran my 2015 1LE there last year stock and did 1.43.5 and also did 1.51.5 at Sonoma in that car, I only have 2 track days at Laguna, so kinda slow there, most experience is on Thill and Sonoma.

Looking forward to it!

are you running C's or D's?

Camping sounds fun. I'm TBD at the moment - but should firm up within a week.

Would be super cool to run with a gang of bitchin Camaros!
