Angry BMR sent me the wrong rear sway bar

I ordered my rear sway bar through Summit last week. It was shipped direct from BMR. I put my car up on jack stands, removed the rear section of my exhaust then took the factory sway bar off. As soon as I bolted it up it was obvious it wasn't the correct part. The part I ordered was SB054R and I received SB045R for a 15-16 Mustang. Also the bushings were mismatched. One had a grease fitting, the other did not. Very frustrating.
I already threw away the box so returning it is going to be fun.

That really sucks but I'm sure BMR will take care of it. Good luck. I hope you have another car to drive around. I have their springs being delivered later today so I'll definitely double check before I trash the box.

Yeah luckily I just bought a new XT5 last weekend. I will go ahead and install the lower trailing arms and leave the car on jack stands until I get a new rear sway bar.

the XT5 is actually a nice little crossover

I'm sure it's very frustrating since it takes a lot of time and energy to do this stuff at home - but I guaranty they're going to take care of you. And since you've already taken the time to learn how (albeit with the wrong parts) - then next time will be much faster!

I got the trailing arms and end links installed without a problem. Only frustrating because today was one of the few days I had to spend all day working on my car plus I havent driven it much the past couple of weeks and I was looking forward to taking it out this weekend. Stuff happens, I know. It's not going to keep me from ordering the rest of my suspension parts from them.

BMR will take care of you they are a stand up vendor. You will love it when you get done, the car is an absolute weapon with these upgrades. It's enough to make you mad that gm didn't send it out the door that way. It's night and day different, and it's such simple changes.

So why did you post this? Did you call or email Summit?
What did they say?

I emailed Summit as soon as I noticed the problem and I also CC'd BMR a copy.
Still waiting on a response from Summit.

A little frustrated because this is the 3rd time in just as many months that there has been an issue with my order. First was an exhaust that was damaged during shipping and had a couple of QC issues. Second exhaust had a couple of small dents on the mufflers and the end of one of the pipes was crushed when it arrived.
Not Summits fault but it was still a hassle to remove the exhaust, box it up and send it back and the original cost to have it shipped to me overnight that I lost.

Reason I posted this? So that others check their order before they start taking their car apart like I did. Same reason several people posted when they didnt receive the correct or any hardware with their order. Some people may not have a second car and it would be a hassle to either leave their car apart till the correct parts arrive or put everything back on and do it all over again once the correct parts arrive.

Thanks for the quick response. I replied to your email. Simple mistake. Things like that happen. It's definitely not going to deter me from placing my next order in the next few days. I'm very happy with the quality of the parts I have.
