Only thing for me might be a later model 997 S. Or possibly cayman or boxster S.
I owned a Cayman S. One of my all time favorite cars. Looked great, handled great. Even though the Gen 6 Camaro is a huge improvement, and a great car, the paint and overall fit and finish on the Cayman, or any Porsche, is still superior. These days I do favor the sound and feel of the big American built pushrod V8 though. The Cayman S made me smile every time I drove it, but so does the Camaro.

Debating between corvette grandsport cause I can't afford a z06 or a zl1. Zl1 more bang for your buck imo but damn that widebody vette is a looker.

M6 or R8 5.2, but either way I plan to keep my Camaro forever.

I'd be interested in a 1 or 2 year old Hellcat of the next generation. I assume the next generation of that car will start around 2019.

I just saw the Lexus LC ad on tv last night.

I know it's in a diff price range, at least for few years, but this sounds different from the other sporty Lexuses I have seen and drove.

If I decide to mod my SS, I'll keep it as long as possible and get another daily driver, maybe an ATS-V or a C-Class.

If I sell it, I've made up my mind on a C63 AMG, Viper, or AMG GTS.

Too many great cars out right now.

My next car probably won't be domestic, and definitely not GM. I do want to stick with a 2-door, RWD coupe, with at least decent power (nothing less than what I'm driving now).

Neah, you don't have to buy the "next" car, just lease it, it makes it more affordable. That opens up a few possibilities.

What people drive is quite often not a good indicator of how poor or how wealthy they are.

I had a 996. And several C5/6s. And a Miata. Wanted something a little bigger - more of a good handling GT car than a real sports car. For now. Which is why also went vert - it's the weekend road trip car for my wife and I. Cayman or boxster wouldn't work as well for that. But maybe as my stable evolves and there is something else for that function I'd go back to a sports car. Maybe not. For now I'm completely happy with the SS.
