We're talking about 1SS 1LEs so it should be close to the current MY17 $38,5 + 6500. I don't believe the 2SS 1LE can be ordered for a few more months.

I will be heading into the dealer today or tomorrow to look into placing an order for 2018 1SS 1LE. As long as I'm guaranteed to have it a couple of months before the snow starts flying I'm perfectly ok waiting for a factory order no one has touched. Finally time to trade in the 08 Cobalt SS Turbo, it has been fun but time for an upgrade .

Nice. My order was placed by the dealer on Monday so I'm hoping to get the order # and an update by the end of the week.

Yeah, I'm curious about this too. I tried placing a 1LE order, but was then told it was too late for a 2017. They agreed on the same discount ($1500 plus any incentives) on a 2018. I'm waiting now for them to tell me they have a 2018 allocation.

Did the folks who already ordered a 2018 here just agree to pay MSRP, whatever it is?

You should be able to do better than $1500 off...heck, supplier is more that that if I recall. And almost anyone can find a way to qualify for that...if not, at least join the Farm Bureau for your state, that will give you another $500 off.
