2014/2015 used zl1 or 17/18 1le
In the market prob later this year for a play car weekend car. Thinking of a car that handles good has a good amount of power and maybe take my wife to church on Sunday. This will not be my daily. Thoughts on wich one would suit my needs better? Also does the 1le only cone with recaro seats?

The 1LE will out handle the ZL1, is as fast in the straight line as the ZL1 due to the weight savings from the 5th gen to 6th gen, interior is worlds better, and overall the 6th gen is more refined than the 5th gen.
Drive them both, but IMHO the 1LE is a much better car. |

The long and short is if you want the more modern/sophisticated/comfortable car that IS faster get the 1LE. If you want the older car that has worse interior/technology but FEELS faster get the ZL1.

After owning a 6th gen, I could never own a 5th gen again...if that helps.

I considered a 15 ZL1 when I was shopping. Great potential for easy HP increase with the LSA motor but I just couldn't believe the difference in interior quality and handling from the 5th to 6th gen. the very low milage 15 ZL1 and new 17 SS 1LE were almost the same price and I'd rather have a brand new car than a used one.
Was able to order exactly what I wanted and picked it up last week. I definitely made the right decision. At the end of the day you need to drive them both and see which one you like better. |

I live in Crofton, not too far from DC, and I will be down at Fed-Ex field on Saturday for the Auto X event there.

Honestly I'd take the 6th gen hands down for the chassis alone.
I'd take a standard non-1LE 1SS or 2SS over the ZL1 (as long as it had mag ride)
