base headlights any mods?

I see people doing the demon eyes to the r.s lights but I want to know what can be done for the base 1lt headlights I don't want to spen 800+ on the r.s lights
I think the angle eyes and a demon light would be b.a but no one cares about us base model guys lol

I would just save up and do the RS headlights from Gen5diy. When I bought my 2012 1SS the next day I regretted not having RS headlights! I bought some headlight from Gen5diy and it was one of my best mods!

Yeah these headlights are indistructable to heat and have permatex sealer meaning a permanent solution (aka a pita to open up )
Low beam bowls are metal and if memory serves correct a Mercedes projector is ideal can't remember at given moment
And mini h1 will just need some small trimming on the housing to use the threaded insert option (on the headlight bowl for highbeam the bulb socket is just a hair too small to get the projector in and thread it down )
Plenty of room for activitys

I have a base LT without the RS package and I replaced my halogens with some LED headlamps. They look great. Basically looks like an RS minus the 'eyebrow' under the headlight. the LEDs were only $75 CAD on Amazon and took less than 30 mins to install.

Any tools required? Could you link the LEDs you replaced with?

The only reason it took me 30 mins to do was because of how tight of a squeeze it is to get your hands in to where you must replace the bulb. But it CAN BE DONE You can push down the material covering the wheel wells out of the way to give yourself some hand room. Then just push it back out from the other side. Simply remove the dust cover, pop out the stock halogens (its like one half turn and they're out) and pop the LED ones in. The LEDs have a cooling fan on the back of them so I left the dust covers off to give them some air. The only thing is that there is a metal button on the top of the LEDs that you must unscrew off the lights or else they will not fit through the opening into the headlight casing. You'll see what I mean when you get the lights. Other than a tight squeeze for the hands it was easy and they look great with the DRLs. Really makes the car look much more expensive than the shitty yellow halogens.

Feel free to message me if you have any more questions!
