Sto-N_ Sho for me. Very happy with it. Plate is mounted LOW, which I like.

Front license plate

Drove my last car 2 years with no front plate and was ready to accept the consequences. Plan on doing the same with the SS, accepting the consequences if Buford T. Justice does not accept my bologna excuse. 🤣

If I saw zip ties back when I was on the job....I'd stop you in a heart beat. Unless I had time to run the plate first, to check for stolen. HOW many car thieves will mount stolen plates, to stolen cars.

I'd be surprised, especially in New Jersey....You don't get stopped occasionally.

Where Ya at in Jersey? I grew up in Edison, then moved to Stockton in Hunterdon Co. We still have a place at the Shore, in Barnegat.
Sure miss the pizza.

I'm using the garage wall mount, and I am very happy with it.

I've known a lot of cops in my life, and was one once upon a time. I never met any that would go out of their way to write that up. It was almost always in the category of "attitude ticket".

Well then, you never met the Maryland State Police officer who gave me a 65 dollar ticket. I'm wondering how many times does a person actually get a ticket before they give in. For me it was once. I have the ZL1 addons one that fits in the tow hook, but the sto and sho also looks quite nice. YMMV--CE

I am in central jersey near Edison

This was supposed to be a temporary solution till I could get a sto n sho or the zl1 addon bracket. Got so busy with other stuff buying the bracket completely slipped outta my mind. Lately since the Camaro's have started coming outta their garages I haven't seen a single one with the front plate and now I feel I should just keep it behind the windshield and see what happens?

My wife was stopped once for doing a rolling stop but the cop never pointed out anything about the license plate zip tied.

I'm in California, even on my modified 4th gen I have not run a front for the last 18 or so years. No issues.

Years ago it was relatively safe to leave the front plate off but today police are looking for any excuse to stop cars in hope they get lucky and find something else.

I'm up in the SF Bay Area. I've been running without a front plate on all of my cars since I started driving. I've been ticketed for no front plate on three of my previous daily drivers - 1964 VW Bug (lowered), 1986 Camaro IROC-Z (stock), 1996 Camaro Z28 (stock). With the two Camaros, I was pulled over solely for not having a front license plate. With the Bug, a friend in his bug and I in my Bug were cruising around, not breaking any laws. We were young, 19-20. I feel like we were just being harassed. They didn't have any reason to pull us over, and only after looking over our cars did they write us up for no front plates, nothing else. I'm still not running a front license plate on my 2016 Camaro SS vert, but I plan on going the Sto-n-Sho route, just in case.

I'm in a state that requires front plates although I haven't had the front plate on since I bought it. Haven't been stopped yet but I'm sure its coming.
