Centrifugal vs Roots

Not sure if anyone has posted about this, but I'm looking into possibly getting a procharger set up for my A10......... I need input on differences between the two. I understand that it's probably preference, but nonetheless I wanna know what people think of the two....... Opinions....... Be mindful that these are all opinions!!!!!

With the super low 1st gear and only 500-600 rpm drop between gears a Centrifugal would work very. Also there is a few 900rwhp M6 cars now with one.

Vortech I had on my 5th gen SS sounded like a jet engine. I had the V3SI so it wasn't oil cooled. Very low maintenance. It was amazing. Sorry I couldn't get more technical than that lol. I'm here for the responses as well.

Vengeance has their A10 at the ProCharger company now getting test fitted. I'm patiently waiting for results of this as well. Seems like in the C7 Z06 world everyone goes ProCharger.

It is completely personal preference and based on power goals. Positive displacement = more low end torque, where centrifugal = more potential peak power. The 2.9L Whipple upgrade for these cars will be a huge improvement over the 1.7L if you're aiming to make over ~700-750rwhp where the 1.7 runs out of steam and keep the low end grunt, but if you're focus is more on drag racing/half mile type scenarios and wanting to make 800+whp, the Procharger will be the end-all.

With the Whipple, you mention 700-750 RWHP...I'd think with a Cam/Heads/E85 and a 2.9L Whipple you'd be very much north of 800-850 RWHP right?

The ProCharger has been going on the LT4 for a while now and I've seen Vengeance do it quite a few times, seems like a great setup and personally I'd go for that.

Though for me, a VR Stage 3 on the stock 1.7L is all I'll need.
