2) Wheels/Tires are more expensive than the SS 1LE and ZL1 equipment, by how much? Not sure yet.

3) That wing alone will likely cost $2000, it's entirely exposed carbon fiber, with bonded end-plates.

4) They are including the exposed carbon fiber heat extractor, a $600 option.

5) The rear glass is a thinner-thickness, unique part...intended for just 750 units, which drives up the price, and the fixed rear seat hardware will be different to reduced weight.

6) And there are multiple aesthetic stuff such as the mirrors, hood wrap, aero components, dark tail lamps, and red calipers that will cost something extra.

In addition, as someone mentioned, GM's going to put a little something extra in there to boost their bottom line.

I am prepared to swallow a $9500 bill (budget for the worst, hope for the best), but it would be nice to see something more like $7500-7995.

But daaaaaamn will it be worth it.
We'll see....

In addition to knowing your allocations, do you also know when they are for?

If dealers have their allocations, how can they not know the price? When is the pricing expected to be announced? So odd that there is so much secrecy here, transparency would be so much better IMHO.

Been like that for many years... When we ordered our 2010 Camaros back on Oct of 2008 we hadn't even seen one in person let alone have pricing.
You're not locked into a pre-order anyway with plenty of time to see pricing before you buy so it's never been an issue.

Pretty much figure it's going to be a 70k car plus or minus a couple k.

+1,000,000
Had to go to SEMA to see the car for the first time at the end of Oct 2008 and had my order in at the time.

Pricing is literally one of the last things they figure out about a car. And they argue over pennies worth of stuff...

I would imagine we'll learn something sometime in May...but we'll see.

Well, here is my breakdown. I will take it a step further and show full price of car including Tax and dealer fees. This will factor in 2018 price increase of course. Also will factor in popular options.

62362 - Base MSRP
995 - Destination charge
1700 - Gas guzzler tax
9500 - 1LE option
1300 - PDR
495 - Navigation
500 - Dealer fees
----------------------
76852 - Cost of car without tax
3266 - 0.0425% Sales tax in Virginia
---------------------
$80,118

Gentlemen, most of you are looking at a 80k Camaro. I am quite lucky to be in Virginia with a lower car sales tax. Some of you in other states have it much higher. Best of luck.

Increased gas guzzler tax because of the gear change?

I'm splitting hairs....but the car will likely not get a higher GG tax, it's an option package; and therefore won't need to be retested. So that'll stay at $1300.

And the MY price adjustment...usually only see $5-600? You've got a $1200 increase there!

But no matter how you cut it - yes...this thing is going to be as expensive as it gets.
