I heated the balancer hub in the oven for a few hours then used an install tool with lube on the crank. It was still difficult to pull on. The install tool can be made with a piece of all thread with a nut and washers.

Get a installer tool...

I also agree with putting it in the oven. I heat them to 250 for 30 min then install using the proper tool.

I need to get some instructions myself. Going to put the smaller pulley on soon and heard it can be changed in 5 minutes?

If heat worked for you guys thats great. I however don't like that due to the oil seal. I have the thread-all, just concerned on how tight it is. That should be an interference fit, not a press fit (its keyed)

Most people only heat it to 200f which is how hot the engine gets running. I also used antiseize inside the new hub. It was a bitch to get off and on but smooth sailing after that.

As some of you know, I "WAS" going to sandblast the lid (metal flake appearance)
But there is enough silver in the engine compartment. SO, Red car, red letters.

Looks great! Just an FYI. If you happen to take off the reservoir fill cap (which is black) and drop it into an entire black engine bay you may be busy for some time! Ask me how I know
