The engine/motor mounts have nothing to do with shifting at all. The OEM more than likely have rubber isolation dampers in them to reduce NVH in the cabin. No way on a daily driver that most people are going to want to hear engine and driveline noise in the cabin all the time. Pedders was a huge supporter of the Holden platforms and the 5th gen Camaro, they used to offer urethane bushing kits for the diff mount and some of the suspensions points, those would reduce suspension deflection and improve handling but came at a cost of most road noise (NVH) being transmitted into the cabin. |
