Black bow ties
So I want to delete the rear bow tie to clean up the rear end. What's the easiest way, gently peel it off, or maybe use some floss or fishing line ?
I'd like to change the front to black, but am not keen on spending $150 on the pair for OEM, which I always prefer. I'm thinking of painting it. Thoughts? Also, the front looks tricky to remove. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Phastek bowtie insert. Far superior to stock. Quality is phenomenal and installation easy. You can also buy only the front if you want.

For the rear, I used hair dryer and goo gone.
For the front, open the hood, remove the cowling cover and you can wedge your hands/tool to the back-side of the bowtie. It's held on via two screws. I removed my rear emblem and liked the clean look so much, I left it off. The black looks MUCH better on the front. I ordered the billet bowtie from Phastek.

Plastidip, $4 can and a little patience...
To remove the front bow tie just pry it off with plastic trim removal tools start left to right, it's on there good so be patient... I plastidipped it and once dry removed the dip from around the chrome edge, took less than $5 including tape and saved the money for other more important pieces... good luck

Glad you posted this question because I literally got on today to post the same question. I just got black bow ties for my birthday to put on my car. OEM from Chevy but at a somewhat cheaper price

Did mine with Plastidip. Just put tape around it (without removing it from the car). 5 coats later , it came our great.
