This stuff makes me mad. Same problem at my dealer. I had to educate them about this as well. Why don't they know? Or do they (even shadier)?...

I mean, they have the extra set of rims, then they just tuck them away somewhere and sell them? really? Who knows... maybe they sell the car with the original rims, and then they just sell the LPO rims later?

The problem is is that GM has not executed this swap correctly. The new wheels arrive in the parts department, sometimes which is in another building, with no corresponding ID number or explanation as to what they are, some parts guy that's paid $12 an hour just sees it as parts ordered for somebody, and puts them on the shelf. They Never tells the sales department that they arrive, because they don't think that sales had anything to do with it in the first place.

As for trunk stuff, you get some brake cooling metal thingies that are supposed to be installed if you decide to track your car to keep it from getting brake fade, a front license plate bracket if it's not installed already and a funnel for the gas tank.
I did not receive the brake cooling parts for the track, the 4 piston front Brembos, nor the original wheels. Why do I have a feeling I'm in for a few weeks of fun trying to get those things? What is the next best approach to take if the dealership is unwilling to give them to me when I ask on Monday?

Get in contact with GM...

I've been working with an adviser in my own issues (buy back) and they seem very helpful. 866-790-5600 , Since you don't have an adviser at the moment stay on the line and it'll send you to someone... explain your issue's and they'll go from there.

It worked out! The dealer located the original wheels, rotors, and calipers. I could only fit the rotors, calipers, and one wheel in the trunk, but it's a start. I'm so relieved. No one knows what happened to the brake cooling parts, though.
