I have had bluetooth in my last 5 or 6 vehicles, and have it in rental cars all the time. Some aftermarket, most factory.
My wife says she can hear me better in my camaro than any other vehicle Ive had or driven. Even with the top down and driving @35-45 mph. I would definitely have it checked. Leave a voicemail on your own phone using your cars bluetooth and let them listen to it. |

Works fine for me at moderate speeds. Once I hit the highway most folks complain the background noise is too loud.

Mine sounds like I am using a walkee talkee or underwater. Several people have told me this. I think its wind noise because its fine when I'm going slow.. The dealer says it works fine because they dont test it on the freeway. I even took a recording my had on my wifes phone with the sound and the dealer still says they couldnt find anything wrong. There was a post saying that the windshield must not be sealed well. So I asked the dealer to reseal it. but they need to get it approved. A $45k cars speaker phone mic should work better than my cheap hyundai company car.

I know I'm late to the party for this one, but I'm trying to get a mic issues figured out, is anyone else having voice command problems? Everything seems to work fine, navigation, radio etc. except I cannot make voice calls using a persons name. I can say call, and say the actual phone number and it dials it up and connects. However when I say call and use the person's name, I get "say a command" so I say call and the person's name again... I get please say the destination you'd like to go to. I took it to the dealership, they kept the car all day, said it was working fine. When I went to pick the car up, the same thing was happening. So I sat in the car with the service writer, she paired her phone, went to her names directory, pushed a name and the call went thru... I told her manual operation wasn't the problem here, it is specific to calling using the voice command feature. She said "oh, then it isn't a mylink issues" it's a mic issues, we were comparing apples to oranges here, when can you bring the car back in. Anyway, has anyone else had this problem and if so, what was the fix if any. Also, if there is another thread regarding this issue please post a link, I searched but could not find one...

I wonder if it isn't something on the phone side. Is it an older phone? I have seen some Driod and Galaxies need to say the name on each contact entry so it has a point of reference. I am shootin in the dark here so don't quote me

It's an iPhone 6S, not the latest and greatest but it's only a year old. I have a 2014 Silverado. The phone makes the voice calls with the truck without any problem. I had a 45th anniversary Camaro before I bought the 2SS, I never had a problem with the 45th. either and it was a 2012. I was thinking maybe I turned a voice command toggle off while messing with the mylink system when I first got the car and was learning my way around the menu system, but I've looked a few times now and can't find anything that would cause the phone voice command to stop working. What's really strange is that I can say an actual phone number and it dials it up. I've tried saying a simple name thinking that perhaps saying a full string was to complex. "Call, First Last Name at Work" was replaced by "Call First Name" and the system responds "Which destination would you like to go to" I don't know, but if I figure it out, I'll post the fix.
