Yup, I noticed the early SS 1LE's have black stitching (like mine) on the the shift boot, and the later ones are gray. I already spoke to my dealer about the mismatch (I want it all gray) and they said next time I'm in the area with the car to stop in and show them and they will order the proper one...
Not too excited about them taking apart my console though, so I may see if someone wants to do an even swap as it seems some actually want the black stitching...
