Well, I don't own one, but I plan to and from my standpoint, I will say, in sort, Yes. Disappointed. Not in handling, not in cooling, not in transmission. Just in the LT4. And in 11.1 hero passes. I don't care about all the people that are saying "OH yeah but it's too early to say" and all that. Fact is, the 5 people on the "Fast lists" that pull of 10.8s will the few, while the majority is stuck in the 11s. There's no doubt we're going to be the slowest muscle car brand for the third generation in a row. Hit me with any questions and bring on the flames.

Meh..I'd rather being running flat out for 20 minutes on a road course than 11 seconds at the strip.

But how many hellcats are running 10.8s? Are those hero runs too or can I just go buy a hellcat, throw some dr's on it, and make a 10.8 pass in august in Louisiana? My guess is that those high 10 sec passes are under great conditions, maybe a little less ideal than a zl1 would potentially need, but still will need good air.

And maybe tq management is a little more interfering on the zl1 as opposed to ford or dodge's product. But I'd rather pay a little less for a brand new zl1 and go from autocross to drag strip every weekend and know I'm covered if something breaks as opposed to bringing in a hellcat and getting turned away bc of "absuive driving". Also, people that chase et's don't usually keep a car stock and if that's all that matters, then I'd penalize the zl1 bc of its tiny little 1.7 blower as opposed to the 2.3s in dodges which is showing less potential than dodge.

Well I don't have any questions for you but a couple of comments...
-11.1 is certainly not a hero pass when hardly anybody has them nor have they run them in the big negative DA air
-Yes a majority will be in the 11s just like the hellcats are when bone stock
-The GT350 and GT350R don't even come close to running the times these are currently

It's exactly what GM advertised... 11.4 @127.

Most folks just got their cars and very few have hit the track yet and when they do the learning curve is large. Lots of menus and modes to go through and one night at the strip isn't going to get it.

My very first run was 11.6 @125 with a 2.0 60'. Practice and get a better launch and I'm dead on the GM numbers. No disappointment here.

From what I've read, thats on an unprepped surface too, which is good in a way. Should expect a touch better on the track, given equal conditions of course

As far as I know, only 1 car has run 127...and that was on drag radials. Most others appear to be in the 125 range. Though it's not bad at all, it would be nice to see more cars run the 127 that Chevy advertised. I believe that if we see more cars running in the 127 range, we'll stand a greater chance of seeing 11.0s or possibly 10.9s...on street tires.

The ZL1 is an excellent blend of the GT350 and Hellcat. Definitely a home run in my book. On paper at least, it looks to be pretty close to the HC in a straight line.

I believe the fastest "stock" hellcat with driveshaft and tires is 10.62 at 130.96mph. The Driveshafts are weak on those cars so I'm sure that's why it was replaced. Don't know if it helped much in lowering ET's or not. If they can run that, I'm sure a ZL1 Can get in the high 10's even with torque management in excellent air.

Numbers will only do so much. There will be always something with better numbers. Then you will be left with how the car feels and drives which is more important IMO.

Personally I can't stop having personal wow moments with the car! ZL1 always surprise me, even when I least expect it too. It's also fun to see these types ,, of moments from people who don't know what the car is and these when people do know what the car is

Even when I show people the car, let them sit in it, show them under the hood. The excitement on their faces that I shared a moment with them, gives me excitement as well!

Disappointment.........Not at all..........even still in the Honeymood stage and coming up to having the car for 3 months and almost 5k miles.....loving every mile starting from 3 miles.

Yes and lots of street tire cars running so any prep was gone very quickly.

Has anyone tried adding Torco or Boostane type product to see if it helps with the tq mgmt issue? I will have to admit I am a little disappointed that we are nearly 200hp more than SS yet some with just bolt on are in high 10's.

That's right and as promised. 127 is BIG MPH. Any car that traps 127 in the 1/4 is an absolute brute and a ball to drive on the street. Hell, 120 trap is a kick ass street runner. 127 is killer.
