So Wednesday morning I was up early and just doing some window shopping online of all my favorite cars...ZL1, GT500, Hellcat, Vipers, Z06s, etc. Just seeing what was out there and day dreaming. Right then my buddy texted me and it all changed.

My buddy is a car salesman for a Chevy dealership. The last time they got a ZL1 it sold in less than 24 hours and I was upset that he didn't tell me he had one come in. So he told me that he didn't want me to be upset again and that he had another one coming in. So he told me the price and some info on it. I went down that night to chat with him. Meanwhile the car hasn't even made it to the dealership yet. So we're going over numbers and I realized that I could trade my 2010 Camaro SS and 2015 Mustang GT for this 17 ZL1. So I went home that night, slept on it, talked to him the next day, slept on it Thursday night, and then finally came to a decision Friday morning to send in an app and see if I'll get approved. Well lo and behold I got approved, lol!!

So Friday night I went to sign my life away and work out all the details. I also dropped the Mustang off to them. Now all that is left is for me to drop off the Camaro and then wait for the ZL1 to arrive. They said it should be there any day now.

I am beyond ecstatic! I cannot wait to get this car. It is black exterior with the jet black with red accents interior. It has navigation, the carbon fiber hood, and a few other options...some of which I don't really care about. So I'm pretty stoked to be getting this car! Of all the choices out there, it would have been either this or the Hellcat. To me, the GT350 is underpowered and not worth the money it costs. The Vettes are too small for me. While I was at the dealership I sat in a Z06 and I found it really uncomfortable. Plus those seats don't recline much. They aren't for me. The GT500, well who knows when that thing will come out or even if it will come out. If it does I bet the dealerships will throw on huge fees like they did with the GT350. No thanks. So really, only the ZL1 and Hellcat are practical. The Demon seemed like a nice choice but it isn't what I want in a car. Plus again, like they did with the Hellcat, I'm sure the dealerships will gouge people. For what it's worth and what it is, I think the ZL1 will fit my needs and desires perfectly!! I'll keep you all posted when it arrives!!

Good choice... I kept my Gen V camaro, but driving the gen6 is a different experience... It rides and handles so well. You will love it!

Thanks man. I really did want to keep my 10...and my 15. But it isn't practical. As it is I rarely even drive the SS. So it sits and is on my insurance and doesn't get used. I figure this way someone else can get it and enjoy it the way it was meant to be enjoyed. I really can't wait for my ZL1 man!! It should arrive any day now!!
