Just ordered 18in wheels

I just ordered a set of CCW 18in wheels so i can run 315 slicks. Im probably going to have to add more negative camber, but it should give serious traction. Hopefully the plan works out.

Did you order from CCW direct? What are the full specs of the wheels if you don't mind sharing? I have an email into CCW for some 19's, but havent heard back yet.

Cool on CCW's what are widths? And ET if you know? 280 square slicks ain't exactly traction limited from my experience...

I was going to ask the same question

18" wheels seemed like they might be a bit tricky because of the inner side clearance (even with the grinding). Keep us updated with specs and the fitment

^^this. I'm only running 18x10's and I'm running a small spacer and have also done some mild metal persuasion to the outer strut lip

All great questions. In short i dont know the answers. I ordered them through Pheonix Performance in Pennsylvania. They are a very knowledgeable race shop and they are currently building two gen 6 full race cars. They told me that i can put a 10in in front and an 11in in back. The tires will be 315. I will keep ypu guys updated on how it works out.

You can only order CCW direct, John the owner will not sell thru other companies and doesn't use advertising. He does though take very good care of his customers. I had set of his wheels on my 2006 GTO. Not sure what bother me more, the lady running the redlight and totaling the car out or the fact she destroyed the CCW wheels that I had just put back on that morning of the accident.

Yes. ATS-V (identical calipers) comes from the factory with 18" wheels

315 on 10" wheels is too much tire IMO.

Personal preference of course but if I had a chance to spend that much money on those custom CCW wheels I would definitely go with 19" size since there are a lot more tire options in those sizes than the 18" wheels and CCW is already very light. I wouldn't sacrifice the wheel width and run mushy tires on them.

Also, The difference between 315/30/18s and 305/30/19s NT01s was only about 1.5 lbs last time I checked

Yokohama recently introduced the AD052 tires which also has 295/30/18 and 315/30/18 sizes, it may be a good option for running 10" wheels up front I think

John Purtzer sold CCW a couple of years ago. I think to Weld Wheels. He manufactured in Florida for most of his time (although started in California). They now show KC, Mo, as their mfg center. I don't know if he is still involved with them. With John, you could pick up the phone and call him and he would instantly tell you exactly the backspacing, size and offset you could run on whatever you were driving at the time. That may be a thing of the past with CCW. Don't know. I do expect you could get the same results with HRE however here in Vista. Pricey however. Or Forgeline for that matter.

Wow, didn't know John had sold. When I had my 2006 GTO had was super helpful with me over the phone in getting some wheels after I had a bad experience with a previous set from another company. So much that he knocked his price down some in order to get me to buy his set. Best decision ever, I miss those wheels as they were super nice.

Now with having a set of HRE on the wifes Audi, I like them as well but their price point is really close to what CCW was back in 2008 as well.
