Daily driver or a weekend vehicle?
If its a weekend vehicle look at doing collector car insurance (lower prices) @ an agreed value vs. market value.

Yeah rate vary wildly depending on where you live / park / how much you drive. My insurance cut in half when I moved from southeast MI to TN and then doubled again when I came back.

I had Grundy World Wide collector Car insurance on my 2010 2LT RS I was paying $250 for $25k "Agreed Value" for 12 months full coverage, $0 deductible, 500k comp/500k collision.
Now my 2017 2SS Convertible is $666 a year w/ an agreed value of $52k again for 12 months full coverage, $0 deductible, 500k comp/500k collision. So if your Camaro is NOT a daily driver and you are over 24 years of age you would be better off with collector car insurance since it’s “Agreed value vs. market value” for most insurance companies.

Southern California resident checking in. I pay about $700 for 6 months with full coverage and higher limits of liability. No tickets/accidents.

397 every six months for my 2016.
my gf's ralliart is 561 every six months and she's driving less than 4k miles a year. Same company. Insurance companies hate the mitsu more than the car buying public it seems. I could probably carry more insurance, but i'm allergic to paying insurance companies anything more than the absolute minimum. I have electronics and crap to buy. |

I'm at about $136 per month with good coverage/$500 collision deductible. No tickets, one accident where I brushed a pole in a parking lot. I have Geico who seems to be the cheapest in Atlanta.

I'm Canadian so take this with a grain of salt but up here when you go with one of the special collector's car insurance is your limited to the amount of kilometers / miles you can put on your car in a year just make sure that works for you before you pull the trigger on your insurance
