I'm just amazed that the person who's job it is to update the date on the website hasn't just said F it and just replaced it with a bit of javascript that just makes the expected date 3 days in the future of whatever the current day is and called it done.

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddddddddd It's gone.

The release date obviously.

Pretty sure the guy who sets the dates learned how to do his job from watching this southpark episode.

I used https://www.repairprocedures.com/ when I did the LT4 swap into the SS. I believe it has most of the same content that's available to the dealer. Once you learn how to navigate their interface it's actually pretty nice.

I usually just buy a subscription one day at a time as needed.

So they are letting you backorder the manual now. But holy shit. What drugs are they smoking at helminc?

60 bucks for the cheapest shipping? WTF. I was going to fork up the nearly 400 bucks for a book but 60 bucks for shipping. F YOU helminc. You suck and I hope everyone photocopies your crap.

The service manual shows as being in stock now on the Helms site. I agree with cellsafemode, the shipping charge is ridiculous. It's $45 to ship to Indiana plus the $6.75 handling.

For my '00 Z28, I recalled the full 3 book set Helm's manual being in the low $100 range. I'm now considering either the pdf version or the site travislambert mentioned above that's ~$10/day.

The shipping charge is idiotic. Plus they have the nerve to add a handling charge? What is this, 1985?

I hope nobody buys it. At least not anywhere close to their asking price.

It's sad because i was actually willing to pay their insanely overvalued price but then they bend you over like that with additional obscene charges because they think they can. No. i'll get it for free instead now. Hope they love their decision. I know their competitors do.

That option actually looks really good considering you get the service repair guide + service bulletins. I wonder if the repair guides are identical to the Helms content? Depending on how easy the site is to navigate, I could probably download most of the stuff I'd need within a day (so $10).

Wowzers!

I bet the electrical and software is two or three books alone.

Speaking of which, right when the 6th gens came out someone made the power windows go down AND up with his remote. I bet the answer is somewhere in some service menu in that manual
