Yes. Yes, it is.

Look at it this way....they had every option/equipment available to them when building this car. And their target was to make the fastest Gen Six Camaro around a track as possible, end of story.

If it's not included....it didn't make the car faster.

Because the engineers that designed the car did not put it the A10 in it. The A10 is their current golden child. If it met their requirements, it would have been in the car. The Z06 has the A8, and look how it turned out. I'm sure Team Camaro is avoiding that path as much as possible.

You are way more in the loop than I am, but to me it really simply boils down to marketing & 1LE = Manual. If they offered it in auto seems to me they would simply use another name due to the history??

Can't wait till you get yours & get some feedback!!
we are referring to the transmission.... it is the automatic transmission that can overheat... not the engine.
not an issue with a manual trans.

It's too bad that semi-automatic transmissions are too expensive. They would most like flip the bill for weight and overheat issues as well, but definitively drive the car price way higher.

Gotcha...just figured if the new A10 was gonna have heat issues, they would have mentioned it somewhere if one planned extensive track days & assume some will be doing just that. I do know they tried like hell to make this car overhear & do not recall anything about the A10 every having that issue??

Anyway, I think Sr. W covered it best...if the weight is the major factor & bottom line makes the car faster, why abandon the 1LE name since it only comes standard. Makes perfect sense to me. Again, if I bought that particular 1LE designated track car, mine would have been manual if optioned. Heck, my current ZL1 was a 50/50 decision itself.

The OP & others curious like myself should be satisfied with the responses I would imagine...just a lot of static to get there.
