A lot of guys are dumping out of GT350s complaining of weak motor under 4K rpm. Not a good thing for a performance oriented car.

Go Z06 manual and make no excuses.

Man, I wish I had your problem, deciding what sports car to compliment my already brand new sports car. lol I would go with the Z06 personally if I had to make the decision.

Edit: Like stella16 mentioned, I saw a brief thing on a mid engine vette, that would be my choice as well if that's coming out soon. Enjoy your ZL1!

The 350 does lack torque under 4K, however it forces you to be a more engaged driver. Use that excellent stick and keep the revs over 4K. The character of the Voodoo is very unique and intoxicating. Brand loyalists won't get it.

OP, IMO, you already have an LT4. Why do you want 2? I would go with something different. Gen V Viper, HC, or 350....

I'd love to hear your feedback on how they compare as far as driving experience.

I am still in the process of break in and haven't felt the full potential of them yet, each car only has 300 miles on them. It's true that the gt350 doesn't have the grunt of the ZL1 but after 3500 rpms it a screamer and sounds great. The brakes and handling are terrific. As I get more miles I will be able to have a better comparison of the two.

Awesome... still breaking in the gt350 at 300 miles... hope to get zl1 delivered in next few weeks. But from my 2SS and test drive of the 1SS 1LE, the camaro is easier to jump in and get going. The controls are a little less tactile and finicky and immediate low end torque more plentiful but the sensations on the GT350 both from sound/vibrations/handling are more raw and less filtered and feels very unique and special, more like an older generation sports car. Just love it.

The Camaro V8 2SS has a very special feel to it also and easier as daily driver perhaps but possibly less intoxicating, that's why hoping ZL1 will have the right sauce.

I think it totally depends on the family situation. If there are kids around the CTS-V or VSport is a great answer. If just you and the wife and she doesn't object, than the Z06 seems to be an easy answer, particularly since they can be bought at close to the same price. Do get the PDR however even if you get a 1LZ. It is too cool if you ever do a track day or even if you want to record what is happening for future insurance purposes.
