universal cargo net
has anyone installed a universal cargo net. it looks like one 34" x 10" would work great attached the the carpet. iv found 35.5" x 11.5" would work but it would be loose. i bet the one i left in my 5th gen would have worked with universal hooks in the side carpet.

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

Cargo Net
The one for the 5th gen does not work in the 6th. The one for the 6th gen is much smaller and tighter. It's not nearly as useful as the one in my 5th gen was, but you can put small sturdy things in it. The net is very tight and will crush fragile things.

the one from the 5th gen wont work even if you put hooks in the sides of the carpet. stretched side to side.

Didn't like the poor excuse for a cargo net that came with the car.
I bought one from an online auction for $8; it measures 36 x 12, a 34 x 10 would be better. It didn't come with mounting hooks so I designed and 3D printed my own in black ABS. I also found the mounting hooks on the same auction site. The top of the net mounts where the two plastic pins are in the trunk liners. The bottom hooks I mounted in the floor lid just forward of the two cutouts for lifting up the lid. I'm satisfied! |

Good thread. My 2011 Cts Coupe had a very useful net & I expected same in Camaro.
I was surprised when I saw how tight & small it is in the G 6. Useless. Though the manual & related papers do fit fine. |
