Not sure if that's entirely correct as Garnet Red appears to be equally elusive. You are correct though these colors will not be the kind of thing you see roll up at a light. I suspect less than 75 cars will be ordered nationally. My source tells me much closer to 50 of that is correct.

I don't expect it to add value to the car in the long run. In our experience here, KG has not been popular at all. I wanted to order one of our 5 ZL1s last week in KG due to the fact that it's going to be a 1 year only color but the fact that it hasn't been a good seller kept me from doing it.

I think that number might be low. There are 25 coupes on the ground or ordered within a 500 mile radius of my dealership. That's just stock units too. Doesn't show sold orders. Might not be too far off though.

The purpose of ordering the car is if you like it. I do. If your are a dealer and you were intent on ordering a car for the lot I'd say you are correct. No need to order a green car when there aren't interested buyers. The fact that no one else in the nation ordered one would never dissuade me. Like any limited option the color will increase the value because so few were made. A folding rear seat in the first generation Camaro wasn't popular and it does add value though it won't catapult the car into 6 digits just because it has it. Either way it doesn't matter to me. My car will never be resold. In my will every car I own will go to the crusher so if the car is worth anything it should really piss a few people off. Lol

Not sure I get what you're saying. 25 coupes on the ground in what color? You mentioned it hasn't been a popular color choice. Seems strange that there could be as many as 25 cars if no one wants that option. I guess I'm misreading your post.

The car is a bold color and it's not for everybody. Unapologetic, brash, in your face! It's everything I'm looking for in a car!

Crossroaddemons you are spot on! Its not a color for everyone. Cant wait to see pics of yours in a couple weeks. I am still sitting at 3000 5/1. Unless I have missed something I dont think a KG ZL1 has been shipped yet. Yes there are a few KG SS and 1Le's nationwide. I have been searching to see the first Z one hit the streets either at a dealer or someone post pics. I Looked at an SS before I ordered the ZL1 hoping to have that unicorn. And with the understanding of the rarity that it will have. If that means in a few years it will have additional value or not it will be mine and most likely will never have to be at a show or drive inn parked next to another one. Here in Atlanta I will be parking next to the Green and Orange Lambo's. Attention getter OH Yeah!

I watched the launch of this color like nobody's business. I knew the moment it came on line. My guy put the order in immediately on the morning of 2/9. While I know the concept of first come first served is meaningless in Camaroland I can't imagine anyone's order was in the system much faster. After initially moving to 3000 in just 4 days the car had a TPW of 5/1 for a while. In the early part of March that number got moved to 4/17 where it has stayed ever since. The order finally moved to 3400 last Thursday with just 10 days till build. I know most of the chat agents by name. Jennifer now has me on an email update since the TPW was less than 2 weeks away. Whether this is the first Krypton ZL1 or not isn't really important. It would be nice to have one of the first cars in this color and there is little doubt I will never see another in person given the limited number of cars ordered. It will be an epic sight. I have a case of parts sitting in the living room for a car I don't own. I have a personalized plate for a car that doesn't exist. And most important a desire to gift my wife with a car in a color she fell in love with that I'll rarely drive. This ones for you sweetheart.

The difference between Krypton Green and Garnet is that the Garnet is still being produced in 2018. The greens will be very unique.
Regardless you're buying it because you want it. The only reason to do something!
Enjoy that car, it'll be fun and extremely fast.

We're talking about Krypton Green. There are 25 near me because it's a new color and dealers have ordered it thinking it could be popular. From personal experience, KG has the been the least popular of the 1LE colors we've had on the lot. I ordered it for the same reason. It was new and I wanted to see how it would do. There's nothing wrong with the color, it's just not for most people.

Yep I forgot it's just this year. Garnet red is very elegant. And yes there are more chances to get that color next year. It's a couple more days and I may have a vin

Got it. I don't know of a single KG ZL1 anywhere so your post hot me nervous thinking how could there be so many cars.

It's funny you say that. I just spoke to a dealership here in Houston that ordered one of each of those for stock and both will have the A10 also. They will be built in May. The guy I talked to said that they knew these would be the rare colors so when someone is looking for one they will come see them.

All set for this coming week. Has anyone experienced having a TPW and not having their car built the week they said? I know orders have been shifted around but I'm curious if anybody was told their car would be built a particular week and they never produced a vehicle. I still need to schedule a transport truck and I want to forecast when it might be delivered to the dealer I'm working with,

My car was built a week early, so I'm sure it goes the other way sometimes too. My TPW never changed to indicate it would be early.
