New 1LE Owner

Hi All

Just picked up a 17 SS 1LE. Used to have a 2011 E92 M3, switched to a 14 1LE and now got this bad boy.

Pretty pumped to get out to the track!

Looks good, congrats - just out of curiosity, did you happen to get it from George Chevrolet in Bellflower?

Nice looking 1LE you have there!

If you haven't seen the threads already, I would plan on ordering rock guards sooner rather than later!

congrats! before i got my 1LE (black as well) i was looking at other cars. the E90-E92 was on my list. But soon discovered i couldn't find the right one with under 50k miles. I'm totally happy i went with the 1LE. Never drove or ridden in a E90 m3 but i think this car beats it in every way

Different cars for sure. The E9X M3 motor is a high revving beast that is definitely amazing when you wind it out. It is low on torque, so you really need to keep it on the high end of rpms. Really incredible cars. It always made me smile to wind out to 8000+.

That being said, the 14 1LE was faster around a road course, but didn't have the fit and finish of the BMW. I loved it for.its performance, but always missed the finishes from the BMW.

This new 17 1LE is the sweet spot for me. The interior is a massive upgrade from the last gen. It has all the performance and more of the M3/4 and it has an amazing price point. I couldn't ask for much more... other than Bose and auto dimming. Ha ha. I guess the 2SS 1LE will be it, but I couldn't wait.

HA! I did 3 black vettes in a row, and did the same with each (swore I would pick different one). Black is a true labor of love though man and nothing can touch how awesome they look when clean!

Congrats man, such a GREAT CAR!

Thanks for the opinion. Yeah i was never interested in the older gen camaro's. The new 1LE sold me within a few minutes. Yeah the sound system was the only thing that i didn't like about it. My previous car had a aftermarket alpine type r system that cranked! So i knew that i would be changing the system within a few months of owning it. I will be making the appointment in the next week or two. Once the stereo is done, i can't think of anything else i could want. I will have 5-10k saved for when the warranty is over, to pull the motor and build it. I want 500-550wrhp naturally aspirated. I will be a happy man
