Starter and MC replaced already

Just dropped off my car at the dealer for the second time now in a month (first time was to replace the clutch master cylinder at 500 miles) and now the starter is being replaced. Anybody else having either of these issues?

Just turned 1300 miles. Initially chalked it up to the slow crank associated with this engine (my C7 was same way) but got progressively worse

Ive searched this and other sites but cant find anything directly related
Frustrating I traded in the vette due to all the electrical gremlins and now this within a month of ownership..

Just curious how many others are having same issues?

I'm sorry about your issues bud. I have had no problems with this 1LE...

Side note: I had a 2014 C7 and had no issues there (other than I wanted it to be a Z06!)

I push the start button with foot off the clutch until the electronics turn on and the fuel pump primes. Then I clutch in, push start again, and it cranks right up.

I'm going to try this. I hadn't noticed slow cranking, but cranking a bit longer than I thought it should take to start a new car

The LT1/LT4 motors all seem to take a bit to fire. Noticed it with my C7 and just about every other one I've seen. I just consider it normal now.

It is normal. The mechanical HPFP takes a little time to develop pressure on DI engines.

absolutely correct about the "normal" slow crank for LT1, my vette did it also.
I thought that's what was happening this time also but over the course of a couple days it was barely turning over and taking up to 10 seconds to start, cold and warm. Leaving work one day and it wouldn't crank at all and noticed a metal on metal smell.
Glad to hear none of you guys are having this issue so far, hopefully mine is the exception

sorry to hear about your issues. I've also run into a couple issues and shared what I found out (lose swaybar endlinks upfront and A/C belt rubbing the wiring harness ).

Hopefully those will be the only issues and we'll enjoy our cars I really like this car and this is the best performance car I've ever owned.

Yes, it is normal.

My 2014 Z51 LT1 did it. My 2016 Z06 LT4 does it. My 2017 1LE LT1 does it.

My Z06 actually takes longer than the LT1s do.

sorry to hear that man. what you describe is very similar to how mine acted. they replaced the starter and now is running fine, fires up without hesitation. If you're getting the same burning smell I got it sounds like its not just an ecu issue
