In terms of appearance for street/track cars, I do not like any wings, even the standard ZL1s, but on the track I'll take function over form any day.

To me that wing is like the cherry on top of a sunday, can't have one with out the other, and it's the best part.

Heck yea!!! I would love to have that wing for my 1LE but I'm it will be outrageously expensive!

I'd second that opinion. Seeing the standard wing in pics.....I didn't hate it, but couldn't say I liked it either. Now that I have the car.....seeing it in person......I actually really like the wing! Love it's design and really like it's looks as well.

Maybe the 1LE wing will be the same way. I like it's design, even in pics, but it looks like it sits too high. Maybe it will look fine in person .

If you take away the wing, I am not sure how much different the side view is over the standard ZL1...? It's pretty much the same. So I guess you like the ZL1, not the ZL1 1LE?

In looking at the original promotional video and photos of the white ZL1 1LE, I thought he wheels were pretty cool, but in seeing this video of it driving around town, they seem small in proportion to the car (The Camaro is a pretty good sized car, it's not a Civic, although the upcoming Type R Civic comes w/20" wheels lol), just a personal opinion. Maybe it is the design of the wheel, maybe the thicker walls on the tires, not sure, but they look small on a Camaro profile view.

As functional as all of these parts are and as many track days I do run in a year, maybe around 20-25, there is no doubt that my car will see more mileage on the street than on a track, so I understand that looks are somewhat important to any owner of a ZL1. I can't say I am a 100% fan of the rear wing design, but I am a huge fan of Carbon Fiber from a looks standpoint and am always looking for ways to add more where I am able to. There are several Carbon wings out now and will probably be more out (aftermarket) by the end of the year. I am just curious about how much this stock one costs vs something that I could purchase in the aftermarket.

The wing didn't look terrible on the one on display at the Barrett Jackson. The tires and wheels are definitely something to get used to. Much larger sidewalls on those tires compared to the ZL1's 20's.

To each his own. I like the wing regardless and part of the reason I do is that it sets the 1LE apart from the rest of the ZL1s. When you see it, you know what it is.

But thanks for sharing the vid!
And those cars have retractible wings, so the wing is not sitting two feet in the air on the way there... Cost may be a factor, however most people buying a $75-80K wouldn't blink an eye over an additional $1500 for that option.

i was one who did not like it in photos but it does look awesome in person. Especially the way it is tilted, carbon fiber, and mirrors the body lines of the car.

We know that the wing serves a purpose. Still ugly though.

We get it. You don't like the wing. But others do so live and let live.

And, it's hardly 'two feet in the air' off the trunk.

I am glad they did at least do a carbon fiber wing. I still think an active wing would have been better and served the functional purpose. Also don't you think that wing will hinder performance at high speeds, probably over 130-140 or so and cause too much drag? I heard that was the case with the viper.
