So what is the most popular vehicle in America? ... the Ford Pickup. The GM pickup is not far behind.
Guess what... they are exempt from CAFE rules, as well as SUV's. And guess again what they get for mileage... my GMC got about 13 MPH with a trailer or without. They get crap mileage. So someone figures, why don't we regulate the dying sedan and coups with their low coefficients of friction and better energy characteristics and ignore the SUV and Pickup bricks in the next lane? If people were serious about change, lets also look at long haul truckers who put millions of miles on a year. Making my WRX which already gets about 34 MPG even more efficient for the few miles it is driven, ignores trade and professional vehicles that are driven almost constantly at far worse mileage than anything on this stupid list.

Yup...the system is jacked up.
Take away the tundra & most are not anywhere to being high volume enough to compare to what cattle fart emissions do...it's absurd. Sorta in line with the GG tax...I am limited w/ my ins (which is no problem for me) to 6k miles per year on my ZL1, which isn't much at all but the GG is still extensive. I drive my company vehicle around 80k miles per year. Uhhh, ok?? Quote:
