We'll see how much room for improvement there is and worth doing for the community or possibly post a DIY for a mild port job

Not a simple feet.
This is correct, you gain little to nothing by just removing and smoothing what's there on these intakes...

That said, I am currently in discussion with Will @ Overkill to basically modify intake manifolds for him... He wants to offer the 80mm throttle body for the LGX crowd, but due to the LGX intake manifold design it's not really feasible as the 80mm opening is larger than the oring seal in the front of the intake manifold, so the seal hole needs to be filled, and the throttle body adapter permanently attached, then fill and port the intake manifold to match the new opening...

So if this does happen, basically you'd get the ported intake manifold to suit an 80mm throttle body, w/ throttle body as a whole kit.

Will is supposed to be sending me parts to I can start on this project.

you dont forsee any issue with the TB being essentially perm attached to the intake? granted, i only have ever needed to take my TB's off to port/clean them. not for any kind of mechanical failure.

The throttle body itself won't be permanently attached, only the adapter piece. (see image below of LFX 80mm tb kit)

so what needs to happen, for all of this to become a reality?

pre order?

deposits?

theres a market for it no doubt.

also, like on Rick's setup that ya did...will is require tuning? (I know most will require it for utmost gains is a given)

Let us know, you'd have my money, and I just dropped some bills on a stock intake.

Its still in the shipping box, and I'd rather not do the job myself, but "a man is only as faithful as his options"

Keep us posted

There looks like some easy room for improvement on the intake runners, Do you have a recommendation for the filling material jason??

Thanks in advance
