Prolly better to go all electric considering about 46% of the electricity generated in the US Is derived by burning coal...not to mention the huge lithium batteries that only last for about 10 years....typical tree hugger mentality. I would love to see the total footprint these cars leave on the environment compared to the electrics or hybrids out there. I have a feeling that they are pretty close in some cases electrics being even worse. Just my 2c

Lol...but I thought electricity just came out of the sky!

It is funny how so many people that get caught up in these electric cars, hydrids, plugins, etc., don't have the slightest clue how and where electricity actuals comes from! The fact is with gas engine vehicles today, they produce so much less emissions than vehicles from 30 - 40 years ago, but these enviromentalist wackos don't even want to hear nor acknowlede those facts.

The EPA is representative of a Communist dictator. They lie, cheat and skew statistics to further their wacko "shame on Cows and Mankind" agenda. Their goal is to keep you in the poor house and cram useless overpriced shit down your throat. The EPA needs to be dethroned immediately. They pull numbers out of their ass and expect someone else to achieve their dreams. If they had their way we'd all be walking. Nobody has any idea of the long term use of electric vehicles on the environment. I assure you, it too will become the boogieman at some point. Follow the money.

Only thing that article and opinion is going to do is encourage me to make it #1.

By supporting Shell, Goodyear and Mobil.

First off, none of the data on the ZL1 is correct that Jack Sacko$hit spewed. The 640 hp (which is wrong) is the 2017 ZL1. The picture is a 5th gen. So the mpg is better in the 6th gen.

2nd, a Tesla at 25,000 miles yields 8625 kWh of total used energy by the S85. That means that the Tesla will burn 1.1 tons of coal per year. Really! I like Tesla, but as an American I have the right to burn as much gas as the country allows.

Don't get me wrong, I like nature and clean air, I am an environmentalist in my own right, I quit eating beans a long time ago....

Exactly. We must reduce all of the 'ane type gases. Propane, butane, ... and methane.
