WOW!!!!!!!!! She is a beauty for sure!!!!

There are several choices out there for ceramic brake pads, that will cut down your brake dust significantly. Some claim at least by 95%. Some went with the Z26 pads. I went with the Hawk Performance ceramic brake pads, and can honestly say the bite is just as good (if not better) than stock. My brake dust is cut by well over 90-95%.

Took her in to get an estimate as some moron hit it in the local Safeway parking lot & didn't have it in them to leave their name. Hit & run takes some kind of lack of morality. It's the passenger rear quarter panel. $2,300 was the estimate.

In the grand scheme of things, it's only a car. But still...

If it makes you feel better, i got these lil spots on driver rear quarter (wheel well edge), but so far 1 PDR tech refused to try to fix because our wheel well edges are "double walled", making it extremely diff job.... so today I'm going to get another opinion from another PDR tech.. I've seen videos online that were successfully fixed... but if nobody nearby wants to try or has the skill & patience, then I'd have to get entire panel replaced!

Proof that it's fixable thru PDR:

Yea, the body shop believes mine is "fixable", so we have ours set to go in on the 24th. People just suck sometimes by hitting a car, looking around to see if there were witnesses or cameras, then making the decision it is OK to leave the scene. Disappointing, but not a huge thing in the grand scheme of life. The "Can I get away with it?" mentality is just hard for me to comprehend, & I was in a small community of Sandy Oregon, so it's not like I was downtown in Portland or something. I expect more from people to step up when doing somebody wrong.

Ya man sucks... sadly I am the one that caused my dents. Well wish me luck, in 2 hours I'll find out if the only other PDR tech in my town is willing to try to repair my damage. (Fingers crossed)

Update:

The good news, he was confident that he can make it 95% better.
The bad news, including some other dings I wanted removed total cost = $500

Put the painted gm splash guards on mine last week. Front was easy, but the rear was a pain without removing the rear tires but I managed (1/4 drive torx bit and a 1/4" gear wrench). The guards are surprisingly effective for the size they are, rock noise is way down and dirt down the side is too after driving in the rain. Also they blend in really well, my wife didn't even notice them.

Monday it goes in to get the dreaded a8 line recall done and the oil changed.

Next weekend ZL1/1LE sway bars.

Then it's time for some BMR goodies out back.

Not today but in the last week - put the BMR drive shaft loop in the 2016 SS. Absoulutly painless. It took more time to find the tools than do the install. I have a drag radial and slick combo so don't want to upset the track folks if that question is ever asked. I also think that NHRA rules for safety are worth considerting and my choice is to meet those requirements when I am close.

I finally finished some cosmetic items.

1. Suntek CXP 35% tint
2. ACS side splitters wrapped in Satin Black
3. 6LE bumper splitters
4. Some vinyl highlights along the bottom of the car to tie it all together
